Abstract

The text presents a reading hypothesis that identifies a tension in Jacques Derrida's political philosophy. Firstly, the existence of a politics of the writing is shown in the texts of the youngest Derrida. This politics postulates, without excuses, an "economy of the violence". Secondly, the existence of a politics of the hospitality is found in the latest texts of Derrida. In these texts a bet exists toward the hospitality, toward the unconditional opening to the other. Among the author's two postures a tension is given; to show that this hiatus is the aim of the text.
