Abstract
The identification of conflict as a constitutive element of the human, and the need for a closure involving the need for the right word, find in Hobbes their first formulation. The passage from the rhetorical-interpretive to the scientific-axiomatic appears in Leviathan in three moments (introspection, contract, state). The unfolding of these moments shows Hermeneutics as a necessary tool for the implantation of a political order founded on the articulation of being (an anthropology), saying (a rhetoric) and acting (a praxis). The interpreter thus turns out to be a key operator in bringing together the natural and the sociopolitical
